2012 Home Builders Blitz
From June 4-10th, 2012 Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country built more than 200 homes in the span of one week as part of Habitat’s 2012 Home Builder’s Blitz. Endorsed by the National Association of Home Builders, the Home Builders Blitz supports Habitat’s vision of “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.”
The Merrimack Valley Habitat affiliate built two houses on donated land in Lawrence, MA as part of this nationwide event. The labor and materials for these homes was donated by local builders and vendors so that the homes could be built by a professional team in one week at little cost.
The Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity volunteers and sponsors worked hard and the Builders Blitz home is now complete!
To the left you’ll see the excited new home owners in front of their completed home with MV Habitat Director of Development, Sharon Mason; Former host of This Old House, Steve Thomas; and MV Habitat Executive Director, Randy Larson.
Our Utmost Appreciation and Thanks
