2nd Annual BrickMan Sprint Triathlon

Scheduled for October 2, 2011!

The 2nd annual Brickman Triathlon will be held on October 2 this year.  Two Merrimack Valley Organizations—Habitat and the YMCA—hosted the first annual triathlon, the BrickMan Sprint Triathlon, in Lawrence on Oct. 3 to raise funds for both organizations - and we're working together to bring the fun and successful event back - with more events, more activities - and more participants!

The event will again feature a 250-yard swim, a 10-mile bike ride, and a 3-mile run. The swimming portion of the event will take place in the Lawrence Y’s pool; biking and running routes take participants past houses built and occupied by Habitat families and around the city Common.

New this year will be activities and information booths on the Common to celebrate and educate family health and well being.

Building Dreams Gala 2011!


Again, breaking all expection, our annual “Building Dreams” gala in February was a huge success.  Thanks to the diligence and creativity of the Building Dreams Committee and chairs, a wonderful time was had by all - and enough money was raised to pay for one new Habitat house!

The silent auction featured nearly 150 donated items that appealed to every taste and pocketbook, and guests enjoyed watching the premiere of a new video that tells our story.


Many thanks to Eileen Sciarra, Lynn Saladini and Janet VanArsdale for serving as chairs and co-chair of the comittee.
