Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity
Homeownership

Sweat Equity

Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity builds decent, affordable homes for low-income families in need of housing. The homes are built in partnership with Habitat homeowners and volunteers. Habitat sells the homes to approved Habitat homeowners at no profit and provides a no-interest 20-30 year mortgage.

The Family Selection Committee reviews all applications. Those who are found to be most in need of housing and who meet all the selection criteria are interviewed in their homes by the Family Selection Committee. The Family Selection Committee identifies the best qualified applicants and presents them to the Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors for consideration

How do I apply?

If you are interested in buying a home through our program, please call our office at 978-681-8858. We will take your name and invite you to our next informational meeting. We do not maintain a waiting list, and we do not mail out applications.
