Gale Street, Lawrence

This home, a duplex in the Lower Tower Hill neighborhood of Lawrence, is situated on a beautifully tiered lot. Construction at Gale Street began in May of 2006. Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity committed to accelerating completion of this project so one of the families who lost their home in the Market Common fire would have a temporary place to call home. The Mbiye family moved in during the month of April 2008 and called it home till their home on Market Street was rebuilt as it had been destroyed by fire earlier that year.  In 2010, with the Mbiye's happily moved into their Market Street address, Merrimack Valley Habitat was delighted to be able to welcome two new families into our family as they moved into their new homes on Gale Street.
